Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Such a good game.

Old games?

Well there are loads that I played as a kid, that I really wish I knew the names of, but the ones I can remember are:
Teen Agent,
All LucasArts point-and-click games, such as Monkey Island, Full Throttle and Day of the Tentacle,
Gizmos and Gadgets,
The Neverhood,
SkiFree,
Putt-Putt, Freddy Fish, Fatty Bear,
others...

That's the one. I never did beat the Yeti as a kid, but then there was no incentive as another Yeti just comes and eats you anyway.

My only guess is you're not a big anime fan... 'Cuz I haven't seen such an original cast or story since... Well, since Guilty Gear. XD

I love that franchise! Although in the gba version you can win the whole thing easily by spamming Sol's flammin slash type move xD. Theres only one sprite comic with GG characters that I know of, called "Holy Zen!", haven't read it in ages...

If you like Guilty Gear you'd love BlazBlue. It's hard to explain, but... It feels like a more "perfected" Guilty Gear. It's everything awesome about GG, and better. XD

Lately I've been sort of neglecting BB though... Can't get myself away from Disgaea 3! @_@

Oh, and on the topic of oldschool games... I DL'd a copy of Namco Museum Essentials on PS3 yesterday, and I officially love Dragon Spirit. XD

Ah cool 8), I'll be sure to check it out when I get a ps3 :D, thanks.

Oh boy, vertical shooters, there was so so many of them back then, similar to how today FPS are overcrowding other genre, I can't remember the name of my favourite one but it was a flying kid shooting energy beams.

Since we're talking about old games.... Kung Fu on the Nes = classic
Shatter Hands = underrated game
Mappy, Joust and Sky Kid = <333

Oh lord, another black hole of gaming. ;_;
There was a period of time where that game must have stolen at least 60 or 70 hours of my life. I think a lot of the meta humor and the way the game can't take itself seriously is really what gave the story the extra kick. Holy crap though, I checked on PSN a couple of days ago and suddenly there's this torrent of characters you can buy. Woooaaah.

I dunno, I've always enjoyed the Disgaea series. Though, I gotta say if you like Disgaea, check out Phantom Brave. The story is kind of lame, but the depth of everything is just astounding.

All I have to say on the genre of vertical scrollers is: Varth.

Actually I did play Phantom Brave, and loved it! Although just like the first Disgaea, I didn't realize the importance of grinding back then, and found myself stuck fairly early in the game.
As for Disgaea 3, one of the main reasons I'm nerding out on it so much is I WANT TO UNLOCK LAHARL AND CO. SO BAAAAD! XD
Laharl will always be my favorite Disgaea character by far. (Mr.Champloo would have to be my favorite Disgaea 3 character though, BOOM!)

Oh, and Warlin, if you ever decide to buy any characters, make sure you get Gig. He has an absolutely godly 3x3 square attack right from the get-go. I got him over level 800 within just a few hours of unlocking him. XD

I finally got Portal, I'm either expecting to be slightly disappointed by the hype or happily impressed by the awesomeness.

I thought the same thing before I played it, and as much as I don't agree that it is the best thing since sliced toast, it is an awesome game. Some of the emotions that were engendered near the end are pretty awesome. I won't tell you why but there is this great sense of elation near the end. And no I don't mean the cake.

But yeah, it was a cool mechanic, put to play in an almost insultingly 'dev-testy' way; but turned out to be pretty cool.

SHISHIGAMI BANG FIGHTS FOR LOVE AND JUSTICE!
I love using Bang. He's just so fun to play as. XD
Hakumen's probably my best though.
I wish I could use Carl... I adore Carl, but I suck at playing as him. T_T

Luckily you can play GC games on a Wii... But if you don't have a Playstation 1 or 2 you need to get one right away! You're missing too many awesome games! D:
