Uhh... Well I remember finding this pic on Gelbooru of a black-haired cat character that reminded me of Ixis.
Spoiler! :
Image
What really struck me as Ixis-ish is the way his hair kinda forms that single big pointed bang in the center of his face. No detailed similarity other than that and the obvious stuff like black hair and cat ears, but that's not really super uncommon in Animu artwork. This pic didn't show up until '09 anyway.

But yeah, other than that I only see slight and/or vague similarities other than the ones that are intentional on my part. Nothing noteworthy comes to mind right now.

Oh, I guess there is one other thing... I don't use TWC anymore, but when I did I remember there was another comic banner on there for a comic called "Ethereal" that also just so happened to use Mael for their logo font. Can't find it now, though.

I found out about The Lonely Astronaut a year after I started making T-Minus. Both have the same premise, with the difference that mine has a talking moon rover who makes fun of the astronaut and TLA has mission control being incompetent and stupid.

I created ALL of my characters for Demon Hunters when I was a kid. 9-10 years old, in fact.
Then, this happened. the format is Age-My Character-Similar Character
12 - Jenicory - Joey from Yu-Gi-Oh with a blue streak going up his hair.
12 - Kira - Kagome from InuYasha
12 - Krishjoukaju - Blue-haired version of Sesshomaru from Inuyasha with paralyzed arm instead of hacked off one. doesn't actually turn into a dog thing though.
14 - Fyrrohnchlive - Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho with stripes on his face [see my current avatar for details]
18 - Sodde's drunken friend - Looks oddly like Rayflo from Vassalord
20 - Jase - The guy who was training to be a doctor in Angel Beats.

... thinking back on this, it sucks, because now people are gonna say "oh, you stole that from whatever" even though I have original sketches. **shrugs** It's all just appearance though, their personalities are VERY different.
Tell Everybody I'm on my way, whatever way that may be - be it the road less traveled by, or the road I'll someday die. As long as I'm amused, I'll be fine.

I'm sure he was a lonely guy, walking the road less traveled by.

Not quite the same, because of the nature of my story, but a few predictions came true.

In 2001 my characters all had credit card sized pieces of glass that functioned as personal computers. Then in 2007 the iPhone came out and it struck me as odd that something like that came true. They haven't appeared in the 2008 version of the story yet (the current version), probably because everyone already has them in the real world so it's not some really cool future tech.

I also predicted the outcome of the 2008 presidential election, although it's only hinted at in the story itself (page 5 and 6) there was a lot more in the background material I wrote in February and March of 2008. The election is more explicit in the 2006 version of the story, including (more and more it seems inevitable) the following war with Iran. That's one prediction I want to be wrong about.

I haven't had anything out of my comics do this, but I've had it happen a lot with other things. For example, way back when MySpace was the shizzle, I wrote this long blog about things they should TTLY make movies out of, and most of them happened. (I admit that they've made movies out of most things, so it was kinda bound to happen, but still.) I also said that I really like Ellen Degeneres, and I thought she should get more screen-time; not long after, she got her talk show, where she basically does whatever she wants and people love her for it. (I liked her more when she wasn't geared so much towards middle-aged housewives, so I'm not a fan of the show, but I'm still glad to see somebody I like succeeding.)

What was weirder was when I wrote a sci-fi novel, and then it turned out the whole world of it was basically Iain M. Banks' The Culture. And then I wrote part of a fantasy novel based off American folklore instead of European, and I somehow managed to accidentally name the main characters after the main characters of famous fantasy novels I haven't read (Valeria and Doom from "Conan", Mouse from "Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser"...I'm pretty sure there were more...) Then I started on a parody of cyberpunk and ended up with something that was basically Woody Allen's "Sleeper" crossed with "Idiocracy" and "Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom". Now besides the naming problem, they're all different enough that I'm still going to work on the projects, but I was pretty shocked at how unoriginal I can get sometimes.

This was from a graphic novel thing I was working on years ago - was thinking of doing it over again, slightly different but with the same setting and female lead character.
Image

Then I saw the trailer for Brave a few months back and thought - fuck it. Even if my idea wasn't even that similar - I don't want to bother with any 'possible' comparisons... Oh well.

Your chick is hotter and better drawn. If there's any comparison I would say the other one looks like a cheap imitation of yours with everything good replaced with everything predictable.
