Old HD is not compatable with my new computer, so I had to buy an adapter. I got the best one I could find for a good deal. Then I notice something that seems a bit odd. I write it off, thinking that I'm mistaken. Then I remember that that's impossible and I check again and sure enough the order form says
Usually ships in 1 to 3 months

I have literally never seen this before. What are they doing, building the unit? I have to now wait 1-3 MONTHS before I can get my data, but if this works (and a lot of people say it does) I WILL get my data, and that is very very good.

I usually back everything up regularly, but it seems I didn't bother to keep up to date with my maps and songs. The next page for The L is also on there (finished two days before the computer went down), so I'm going to have to skip that chapter to update the story. Still, the data is all there and I will get it out eventually, and that is good.

Well, ironed all my shirts, by myself! Plus, tomorrow, I'm going to take another stab at the Monster Burger I failed to finish on New Years. I'm gonna win that jar of money this time!

Things aren't perfect and I still don't have a job, but I am still very pleased today. After 1.5 months IT still hasn't fixed my computer, but I ain't even mad. Because:

My 500 gig hard drive, 2 16 gig flash drives, and one 32 gig flash drive were all safe and sound in my room. Annoyed that I didn't get to do my work because I didn't have them with me when I got to the editing room, but thank god they were safe here. I thought I left them somewhere on campus, and sadly I don't have faith in the percentage of Good Samaritans here. (seriously, who wouldn't turn in a pair of prescription glasses they saw sitting on the ground?)

Just when I thought I couldn't love this computer anymore than I have over nearly a year now...
Spoiler! :
I CAN EMULATE PS2 GAMES AT FULL SPEED.

Well naturally some games run slower than others, but it'll still be fun to experiment and see which games I can run at full speed. Some of them I can even run with crazy nice resolutions~

Do you use a controller?

But of course. Using two Analog sticks and four shoulder buttons with a keyboard would be a nightmare. D:

Lol yeah I was going to use a PS2 emulator but I couldn't get the controller to work, I might give it another shot soon.

I dunno if they carry any of the same stuff over there, but I just use this plain old Logitech Controller;

They're pretty cheap and work with just about everything. Hell, I even used to use one for local MP on my PS3 before I got a second Dualshock 3, haha. Though that was back when they had numbered face buttons instead of the DC/360 button layout, so I dunno if the newer ones still do that, but PC-wise I've yet to find something it doesn't work with.

Well at the time I tried using a wireless Xbox 360 controller, but all it did was charge when it was connected to the computer, I found out you need to get a wired controller to make it work, so I have to buy one of those before I can use a controller with the emulator. So yeah, when I get the urge to play some PS2 games I'll get one haha.

My adapter just shipped! It should be here in a week, not one to three months! My life can finally get back to normal. Deviancy by most people's standards, but normal for me.

Went out to see my Great Grandpa in Story City. It was pretty fun, he has this awesome Santa Clause beard going on now, and we went to this awesome place called the Antique Mall, which was basically a big store full of stuff that looked like it all came from an episode of American Pickers. I got a jar full of wooden nickels.

Also we went to this dinner place and had some awesome steak and baked potatoes and whatnot.
To top it all off the rain on the way home was all funky and weird. We were like on the edge of a storm, and saw what started out as one of the brightest, biggest rainbows I've ever seen and later became a DOUBLE RAINBOW ACROSS THE SKYYYYY.
Seriously, from end to end, it was a perfect arc. Also looked like it was actually in front of the ground as we passed by, which was trippy. Made it look like it was right next to us.

It was a fun day, and I'm now ready to wind down for some games.
