My stuff is packed up! Wootlabs will be setting up in the Pittsburgh Comicon tomorrow! Then the con starts Friday, lasts through Sunday. My first con. I do believe I am twitterpated.

I just stumbled upon two "comics" that umm... I... I just hope they're not meant to be serious. I really really hope they're just a big elaborate joke.
Spoiler! :
Joke or not it has me in stitches, though.
Despite the cringe-worth middleschooler use of homophobe slurs and whatnot.

Remind me of a comic that mysteriously got free exposure that lead it to eventually gain more fans even thought its exposure must've been a bug in the first place.

Updated early yeah!! Like a boss! Trying to color the rest of the arc completely (27 pages, of which... 12 or so are colored? Blah!) I was thinking about getting the full-color comic printed in book form, and maybe selling it, so people who want to read the whole thing ahead of time (nstead of waiting through 27 weeks of updates...) can do so. And people who don't want to, can still wait for it to come out for free online :'D

weeping with joy

I sketched the next page, and it felt really good. Took special care to make sure everything looked right. I'm gonna try turning over a new leaf, guys. No more half-assed work.

It helped that before I did the sketch I did a very very rudimentary and brief study/sketch of a skeleton and skull. I always find myself telling other artists they need to work on their anatomy. Time to walk the walk.

Decided to make some shortcut that will lead to a spectacular bunch of pages. If everything goes right, I will be able to update something in due time.

Drew the dome on page 78. Just the dome. It took about an hour. Gonna draw the buildings inside the dome separately and put the two together on the computer. Oh, then there are 5 more panels to draw after that, but it was such a beautiful day I decided to spend time outside rather than draw.

Took Introduction to Comic Art during my exchange year at university. Realised early on that I know more than the lecturer, but have forgiven him because he's cool and works professionally drawing a political strip for a national paper.

The final project is a sixteen page book.

I've pencilled eleven pages and it's due on Tuesday. Considering each page will take about three to four hours to complete, if I plan on finishing the inking, colouring and lettering I may need to skip luxuries like food and sleep if I want to get it finished in time.

Oh gosh, this is an awesome motivator, haha.

I got my final drafts for my first chapter done, and I've got some pencils that I'm currently working with! I'm still setting everything up, but I'm really excited! :D

I'm falling behind...
Updated today... late. I might have to change my update schedule to "between Friday and Sunday" instead of strictly Fridays.

"What have you done today Ryo?"
"I drew shit."
"What kind of shit?"
"Some eyes, headshots, some hands, and a raptor thing who steals spiky hair because he wants to be more animu. The raptor has it hard all his friends are animu but he can never be because he is a raptor and they don't have hair."

But it is his dream to one day be animu. He has the will power and an order of rogaine.

Yeah I didn't get shit done on the comic today.
