It's called full market penetration.

Seriously, though, where did that particular sense of humor come from that seems to be in so many sprite comics? You know what I mean--
green Sonic: "hey You lets fight !!!!!!!"
purple Knuckles: "OK!"
(THEY FIGHT)
purple Knuckles: "oops my power fire dynamo mega thunder boom punch boom exploded the earth!"
green Sonic: "you sukkkkkk!!!!!"
blue Amy: "omg your both secksy!"
both: "YEH!"
I will say that that was really easy to write. My comics take at least a few hours to write each update; I made that up in, like, a minute. I think the reason there are so many awful sprite comics out there is that if you've decided you want to make a comic but don't want to put any energy into it whatsoever, you can get the sprites pretty easily. That said, I would love to know why it's almost always Sonic, or occasionally Mega Man or Kirby. Why no Earthworm Jim fanfics? Why no Bad Dudes Expanded Universe? I'd read that. "We're the only dudes bad enough to travel into the past and prevent Master-D from using the Chaos Emeralds to assassinate FDR!"

Sprites abound, some suck, some people like them. Yaoi comics abound, some suck, some people like them. The arguments against each are practically parallel. It's just that one's tainted with gross boy cooties and the other's tainted with gross girl cuties. I know there are plenty of female spriters and male yaoi artists, but that's what it comes down to to me- "Barbies are stupid!!" "No, Hot Wheels are stupid!"
