Webcomic groups?

Postby KitsuneTenchi127 » February 6th, 2012, 10:26 pm

Hey guys. I'm wondering if there's other webcomic group sites out there (like petitesymphony). I finally have my first comic almost off the group with no where to post it, alongside a reluctance to post on SmackJeeves and a fear of running my own site. Anyone have an opinion?

I apologize for using a resource of other webcomic artists to gain knowledge. I've hosted a test comic on SmackJeeves before but was annoyed by some aspects so I was wondering if I could understand other options before caving in and hosting here.
So do you have any ideas?
(Second post to SmackJeeves, uses it to question others use of SmackJeeves)

Yeah I don't make comics, I only made the account to read them.

If you're looking for a different site there's this magic thing called Google.

There is Drunk Duck, Comic Fury, Comic Genesis, Xepher, Webcomic Nation, Modern Tales, Graphic Smash, Comic Fury and more. Heck, some people just post it onto Deviart. There should be a few threads around here somewhere about this mattter.

Some specilize in certain types of comics, like TG Comics.

Usually, if people are here, they found SJ to be the best solution. Honestly, it's my favorite free solution(I use it as my mirror but have my own website for my main comic).

Just google 'free comic hosts' and you'll be met with quite a few options.

Smack jeeves just tends to be the most user friendly when it comes to templates and updating comics since many templates are provided for your customization (or not).
