In search for this comic.

Postby nicodemus » September 4th, 2011, 8:50 pm

Hi.

I saw a comic in Smack Jeeves that was about an Inuit (most probably) boy that was doing a coming of age test and nearly dies and then is saved by a polar bear who's actually a spirit. Then the boy is dragged into the spirit world. I browsed with all the references I could think of but still I couldn't find the comic. Could somebody please help me find it!

Thanks in advance :D

Nope. I just found it one day in the "featured donator comics"section when browsing for comics in Smack Jeeves. I haven't seen it there since.

I have also tried googleing it, no luck.

If you search for specific terms and they're not in the title/description, you'll actually filter out the comic you want, so it's better to search for things you know are there. For example, if you're sure it was listed in a certain genre, search that genre.

That searches for only Donator and Premium comics. There are 33 pages of results, 12 results per page. It's feasible to just look through all the banners and maybe one will stick out as familiar. If it hasn't been too long since you first found it, maybe its subscription is still going. If not, then I really don't know what else I could suggest... it's a long shot, but if you remember the rough page count on that comic, you could sort by Most Pages and navigate to that range and look at banners there.
Busy, busy.

I don't remember anything about a polar bear being in this comic, but the whole "young boy and spirit world" story sounds similar to themes in the Dreamwalker Chronicles by Daryl Zhan. http://dreamwalkerchronicles.smackjeeves.com/

Even if that's not the one you're thinking of, this will probably be an interesting read for you. Good luck finding the one you're looking for!
