New Genre: Mystery/Crime/Detective

Postby Admin » February 14th, 2011, 11:28 am

Thanks to a recent suggestion, there is now a new genre: Mystery/Crime/Detective. I'm not sure why we didn't already have this one!

Awesome! I've been thinking of writing a mystery comic. I'll probably never finish it, but still, sweet. Now we just need a "historical" genre.

Eeee historical <3
Not sure that's an actual genre, though. It's a setting descriptor, not a plot descriptor.

"Historical" is a genre.

what about things that are mysteries that don't involve crime and detectives? Would those still fit under that category? I can't figure out if it's an NCIS/CIS type category, or a category that would fit any mystery. :/

Noir is a subgenre, it doesn't encompass all Mystery/Crime/Detective stuff.

But...Frank Miller! D:

...okay, I'm pretty sure it was the postwar stuff that really pushed the noir, there were tons of romanticized mysteries in the romantic era.

Anyway, yay! My next comic project is totally going to be mysteries.
