Actually sorry to nitpick but a Machinima is, well...

It's a much broader term than you described it, haha.

Um... if you use a camera, you fail at life. That's simply not how it works.

You need a capture card, either internal or external, for recording console gameplay. I use the Hauppauge Colossus, an internal card, but there's also the Hauppauge HD PVR for external recording. Go look up info on google and the like; research it. Generally, an HD capture card for 720 to 1080p is within the range of $130 to $200. Internal cards are cheaper, but require installation. External cards are more expensive and sometimes don't have compatibility with the use of HDMI connection, but are easier to set up and can be put away if not needed.

Recording your TV with a camera... don't. Just don't.

Heeee~ I love Bandicam. Completely lagless with great quality, and the free version doesn't have a painfully short recording time or a horrible watermark. I'm never touching Fraps again.
I should upload some silly gameplay video to YT with it. I tested it out by recording some SFxT, but I hope Boy Hits Car doesn't get WMG'd because it's playing throughout like the whole vid.
Spoiler! :
'Course I'll wait for the game to technically be released. I don't want a bunch of MS goons with bats and pipes knocking at my door because I uploaded PC gameplay before release.

Bandicam is best program for recording IMO. The size of the videos are SO SMALL in comparison to Fraps.

Also, if you disable the option for "mix audio into one channel", it allows you to seperately edit the microphone volume if you want to remove it or it's too quiet/loud.

Also, I'm kinda broke. Any other option?

This is the other option I know of. It's cheap, but it only does about 360p... maybe 480. Works better than a camera, but not great quality. Cheap though.

You need some additional things alongside it.

Double video time!

First, A sequel: Nearly Twice as long. Same Place. Same Game. Different team. Death of the Heavy 2: Now with music!

Second, me and some people play SSBB, part 1. Warning: contains 1 minute 30 seconds of intro and an ironically bad flag.

Skip to the last minute if you can't be bothered watching mindless explosions for 10 minutes and just want to see a massive one.

I recently started a Minecraft LP. I would like some feedback and such.

Edit: If it's necessary to know. I recorded this with Bandicam.
