You need a capture card, either internal or external, for recording console gameplay. I use the Hauppauge Colossus, an internal card, but there's also the Hauppauge HD PVR for external recording. Go look up info on google and the like; research it. Generally, an HD capture card for 720 to 1080p is within the range of $130 to $200. Internal cards are cheaper, but require installation. Recording your TV with a camera... don't. Just don't.
