Super Minecraft thread GO!

Aw man I watched some survival games videos and now I wanna play that map with some people and upload it to Youtube and stuff.
For anyone who doesn't know it, basically it's this huge map where people have to find supplies and weapons and stuff to kill each other with, and the winner is the last one alive.
So is anyone up for doing this? We'll need a host or something to start off the games and make sure there's no cheating, and also it would be cool if other people recorded videos so we could get multiple points of view.

The Survival Games? You mean the ones with Variede's map, or a different one?

It does look interesting to play, and I'd love to help by being a player (and possibly recording it), but I'd much rather see the Ultra Hardcore game mentioned a couple of pages ago get started.

I'm also willing to join in the fun beating each other up. Though I'll need to get something to record it and a mic. I can that easy enough. Though we will need a server. Right? I don't mind paying for one. I just don't know what one to get. Anyone know what would be the best choice?

The End on Paradox's server has been worked on a bit, and now has a functional Enderman farm as well as the start of a town (park + 1 house). Also, I've been working on my Nether Stronghold a little bit, and have connected it to the one by the Spawn Town portal (take the first left from the entrance and follow the bridge).

Finally, I'm going to need some help from Paradox, but until then I won't be playing on the server. I'm kind of stuck on the roof of the Nether with my useful diamond gear.

First one looks better if it's somewhere in the middle of the village, second if water's going to be under it though by far.
First road looks better to me.

Zisteau's latest Mindcrack video has motivated me to return to working on my own modified texture pack, mainly the leather armour.

I haven't finished it yet (I still have the pants and the icons to do), but this is what it looks like:



Following the theme of the progression of tools/armour from ragged temporary supplies (wood/leather) to strong (diamond) or fancy (gold) equipment, this is just a simple set of hood, cloak and boots. Nothing too detailed, and it doesn't look new, but it fits with the current vanilla textures. The pants will more or less be a continuation of the cloak; a layer of it below the torso part that continues down to the boots.
