Sorry if I got anybody's hopes super duper up, Rare is still soulless and broken.

Well they could get some start up money if they SOLD THE RIGHTS TO BANJO AND KAZOOIE. Seriously guys. We're long overdue for another Banjo Kazooie. Even if you count Nuts and Bolts its been years since the last game. They have such a great concept and it would do amazing if it had the right team on the job.

But yeah I did wonder about what you meant, I do remember Retro creating a new game but they didn't have enough time to get a preview before this year's E3. I didn't remember anything about Rare. But oh well, I'm sure we'll hear about it soon enough. I'm excited to hear whatever they work on. Their work with Metroid and DK was amazing so I'm sure whatever they put out will be good.

My hope is for a new IP honestly.

We've already got new Mario, new Smash Bros., fresh Zelda, new Paper Mario, new Remake Zelda, new Fire Emblem, new Luigi's Mansion, new Animal Crossing, new Pokemon, and new Pikmin on the way. Something tells me it's not Metroid, but hey, that'd always be cool, too!
I don't think they'd handle Kirby and I don't think they'd hype up DKC this much, sooooo.....

XD I think it's because it might not end up being a continued series. It may just be a one-shot, like every game starts out as, I guess. If I call it a series, it gives me false hope that it'll get huge and continued success like the ones I know and love.

I just beat Deus Ex.

There will never be as a good a story as this in video games. That was perfectly executed and so well written.

(Actually according to everyone, anything does.) Regardless Deus Ex was amazing overall. I did play with a mod but I enjoyed the game more with it.
Infact I liked it so much I'm considering playing the PS2 version for playthrough 2, whenever that happens.

In all seriousness my best advice is to read up on Lautrec and the Firelink Shrine's Firekeeper so you know how to do the quest line properly and bring her back to life.
That and get the Wood Grain Ring as early as possible.
I can trickle down tips as you go along if you want more, but those are the main two that spring to mind.
