I'm thinking of getting a 3DS, and I have a couple of hang ups....

One, do you think I SHOULD get one?
What, I'd get Oot, Kid Icarus, Starfox 64, Mario Kart 7, New Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario 3D land, Fire Emblem, and the eventual Pokemon game....

I also can't decide on a color. I really want the Cobalt Blue, but that isn't in North America (yet?).
Other than that none of the other colors really interest me.......
(I know that's really superficial, but eh....)

The other thing is, should I get a 3DSxL? 90% is a LOT bigger than the original, but I hear there will be scaling problems, not to mention that the extra size is going to make it not a "pocket" gadget.

Unless you have issues with small-ish screens(It's actually no that small cuz like it's only about an inch smaller then the DSi XL?) I'd stick to a standard 3DS.
If you want the Cobalt Blue I suggest waiting it out and getting it with the FE package. That way you get a game.

If you must get one now, I suggest you flip a coin between Kid Icarus and OoT.

Kid Icarus Kid Icarus Kid Icarus and Kid Icarus. Seriously the best game on the 3DS hands down. Nothing compares.

Mario Kart 7 is also pretty good, I highly recommend it if you're a fan of the Mario Kart series or just a fan of general insane racing. If you're deciding on whether or not to save your money for Super Mario 3D Land, I'd recommend saving it. It's a good game but there are better ones you could be spending your money on. Same with Starfox if you've already played it. OoT3D is also a must.

As for the size, I think it's all a matter of what you think you're going to be using it for. If you think you want something more portable and don't want to pay the extra money, I'd recommend just getting the normal 3DS. You might be able to find yourself a special 3DS too if you're lucky.

If not I absolutely 100% recommend you get OoT3D before any other game. Or get Uprising and then buy the cheap VC version of OoT on the Wii if you have one.

But yeah they both are fairly long. KI has a shit load of stuff to do with their Achievement system and OoT has Master Quest Mode after you beat it as well as a boss rush mode. As for Replayability, KI has more but OoT can be just as fun.(I've personally started like 10+Files on my copy since I got it and beat each one.)

EDIT: I'm talking about OoT 3D by the way. The VC version is the original and it doesn't have Master Quest or Boss Rush. Still fun as hell though.

Holy hell, Tribes: Ascend is pretty damn cool. It's rough starting out but once you get the hang of things it's really fun. I especially love playing defence.
I got 250 free Tribes Gold for doing some FB stuff and the game store has these individual daily deals that are different for each person. First day I logged on my deal was for the Technician Class, so I bought it and have been having a blast playing it.
Looks like I'll have another Online PC shooter to juggle with SDGO and TF2 now, haha.

Anyone thinking of playing? If so let me know so I can post my referral link and get some stuff when you hit level 6. :O

Oh hell yes! Good to see he got enough cash to get his project up. I was honestly going to offer up a few bucks but I forgot so I'm glad to see a lot of others didn't haha. Can't wait to see the final product! I think I might just throw in some money to see if they can make it to their second stretch goal. 20,000 is a lot of money but if he managed to get his first goal 20 days ahead of schedule I think he might be able to reach the second at the very least. Time Attack and Achievements would be a really nice touch.
