I've been having quite a bit of fun playing Batman: Arkham Asylum. I just streamed it a bit ago and played for 2.5 hours straight.

Batman games actually seem to be... competent. Gotham City Impostors is a well-made FPS, Arkham Asylum is a fun stealth beat-em-up, and I'm sure Arkham City is going to keep it up.

While I do agree that Uprising can do well as a stand alone, there's one personal gripe I have with Uprising and would at least like something to help dwell deeper into it.
I suppose it's mainly because i'm a roleplayer herp I roleplay Magnus and Palutena on Tumblr heh but some of the characters seemed quite.. underdeveloped. Especially with Magnus and Gaol.
I don't know. I'd just really like to see more about them explained somewhere. More about their personalities, past, families, etc. I mean for people who seemed to play somewhat important roles, they didn't seem to go under a whole lot of development.
I guess that's just me though. I will miss the jokes and puns heh.

I felt the same way about Magnus and Gaol! In fact, I posted about it a few pages back. I'm sure there's a fair chance you know this, but if you get Gaol's idol and let the boss fight against her last long enough, you'll find out that
Spoiler! :
used to be Mercenaries together until Gaol was captured and imprisoned in the dark armor. I always cleared the fight before that point was reached :|
I guess Gaol turns good later, too? I wasn't sure what to make of that because i was spaced on their backstory. But even with that additional information, I agree their roles are pretty small. I was really hoping for more of those two.
I'm kind of happy leaving the details to my imagination, though :3
especially for you being a roleplayer!

There doesn't appear to be a portal thread, so here is where I am posting my first Workshop Puzzle (uploaded with SBM's account like most things I do):

My relationship with Starhawk is becoming incredibly love/hate... I love the game to death, it's mad fun to play and addicting as hell, (on top of that I'm dynamite at it. Even though LP2 still holds it's place as my favorite TPS I'm pretty sure my Starhawk KDR is higher than any other shooter I've played.) but the game is so. Damn. Broken. D:
Random freezes, bugged Skill Menu that can only be accessed mid-battle, terrible frame rates in split-screen and plenty of balance issues. Most of which are because of Garages/Depots/Launch Pads and what have you being expensive to summon but the OP vehicles themselves are incredibly cheap.
I don't think they should nerf anything, Tanks and Hawks are supposed to be tough as hell and high-risk, high-reward, but when they only cost a minimal amount of Rift to summon it makes it so that as soon as a team gets a Depot down the opposing team is suddenly dealing with a massive fleet of Tanks that can turn troops and buildings to dust. There is simply way too much base-raping going on in this game, which wouldn't happen if it costed 5 Rift to summon a Tank instead of 2... But when I do manage to get into balanced matches it's by far some of the most fun I've ever had in a shooter game.
I'm not giving up on it, I'll tough it out and rise above the issues, but I just wish Lightbox would patch the game and fix some stuff already.
Spoiler! :
And I hope I didn't miss the Beta participant goodies. After looking it up people are saying that you have to go into Notification Preferences and allow Sony to send you messages, which I had unchecked because it sounded like asking for spam. I didn't know they'd give out promos via PSN messages. ;___;
I checked the box and am now hoping I'm not too late, even though I've already seen someone with the glowy Beta glove thing... It's really a sloppy way to release bonuses. Why not email a DLC code or find a way to unlock it on our download list in the store...? I'll be miffed if I miss out on one-time-only items just because I didn't check an option that I thought would never be important.

Okay, I had a play of it, and for a first puzzle it looks pretty good. It was a good challenge, and everything was clear enough to work through.

That being said... I found that this puzzle required quite a bit of guesswork on the last bit - you essentially had to have near-split-second timing to create the bridge without falling again. It's not a good design in the end, and would infuriate some with less skill and patience. I'd suggest opening up that side to become more visible in the fall, to at least open up the opportunity for the less skilled.

Thanks for the feedback!
I'm not sure whether or not you're allowed to republish puzzles, but if you can I'll redo that one.

In the meantime, I have made another:

Also, has anyone else here made any?

Yep! Knew that actually! My friend is actually a Gaol roleplayer as well and we've done a bit of research about them and found some interesting things about them.
Spoiler! :
People have been saying that the both of them have been friends since childhood, but we're unsure of where the childhood part came from. We know of course that they're friends, but not yet on childhood pals.
But yes, Gaol was always good! We have a feeling that the reason Gaol went and did some undercover spying on the Underworld had something to do with the death of Magnus's child (who was killed by Underworld baddies), then screwed up and got caught, but unfortunately we can't confirm anything nn.

I still find the both of them to be real likeable though. If, by any possible chance whatsoever, another Kid Icarus game is made in the future, I'd really like to see the two of them included again, with bigger roles and more information added about them. They just have so much potential!
Nintendork for life.

Okay, so apparently, holds in DoA are done by pressing the Guard button and a opposite direction. Watching videos of Dimensions will pay off, that's for sure.

This post and a quick glance at the site made my first immediate thought jump to Trickster. I barely played that game at all but I remember the ADORABRU animal characters. I think I had some Dragon Boy as a character.

Blech. And I frown upon MMOs that disband Guilds for being inactive.
