And now, my hesitation between TTT2 and DoA5 regrew. Anyway, where I can figure out the gameplay mechanics from the DoA games? I'm asking because I don't have a 3DS.

So I buckled and bought SFxT for my PS3. Already incredibly satisfied with my decision, the free color palette DLC adds some really cool metallic and glowy colors for customizing, and BBA Mega Man & were not only free but funny as hell. :D
Haven't even tried Toro or Kuro yet but I'm looking forward to that as well. THANK YOU PEOPLE WHO WALKED BY AND BOUGHT OUR USELESS SHIT AT THE YARD SALE TODAY, YOU PAID FOR THIS GAME.

DOA2 was on PS2 and DOA3 was on the original Xbox, and both would probably be relatively cheap by now, especially 3 since many old Xbox games went the way of DC games and became ludicrously cheap at used game stores. That's just my guess though, there's no telling how rare either of them might be, so you can never be sure about price without hunting them down for yourself.

Should I get this game, who would you suggest to start up? Please, no charge characters because they're a pain to handle.

Taking this under consideration, now.

Uug. I'm still psyched that Nintendo of America registered a url for Fire Emblem: Kakusei. Still waiting for that release date though..
Hopefully they'll bring the Special 3DS edition of it here! Despite having a 3DS already, i'd buy that edition!
And for those who don't know what it looks like.

I want that 3DS, but at this point it'd be just a cash drain.....

Seven, I looked into Starhawk, read a few reviews, and I can honestly say the game is piqued my interest. That interest actually throws a Monkey wrench in my plans to get a Dreamcast. If I buy, and like Starhawk as much as I'd like Warhawk, then I wouldn't be able to put the time into a Dreamcast to make it work.

So many decisions, such little cash....

So I read today that there will /not/ be a sequel to Kid Icarus: Uprising.

I am okay with this. When I first read it, I felt a jab of disappointment, but after reading what Sakurai had to say on the matter and considering the situation, I'm really not all that miffed or disappointed. I loved Uprising. To death. It was everything I could ever want it to be and more. I think having it as a milestone to remember and cherish will really allow me to love the Kid Icarus franchise more than a stream of sequels. I think it effectively revived the franchise in that it gave modern gamers who never played the original, like myself, to experience it and fall in love with it. It's a modern classic, I would argue, and I think I prefer it as one of those rare gems. I would say like Luigi's Mansion, but that's getting a sequel. WHICH IS AWESOME
I think I'll like looking back on Uprising and expanding on the world with my own imagination more than I would a bunch of sequels trying to emulate what it did so uniquely.
It was fun while it lasted and that's not changing anytime soon.

In other news, with E3 right around the corner, PIKMIN 3. PIKMIN FUCKING 3. OH GOD, PIKMIN 3. I am /SO/ excited for this. I have been waiting at least six years for this game, AT LEAST. To imagine that my first look at it is right around the corner is truly surreal. Like, holy shit. I am in disbelief.
There goes any money I might make between now and the Holiday season if it's a launch title for Wii U.
Thanks, Nintendo.

Yeah he also said Smash Bros. Brawl would be the last Smash Bros. game he does (he knew the series would go on, just he wouldn't be in charge of it).

And look where we are now.

Yeah, Uprising kinda feels like it works best as a brilliant standalone game to begin with, it doesn't really need a sequel. Now, as a commenter on a Joystiq article said; I'd love to see it ported to the Wii U. Just the same game, but with a nice console controller.

Food for thought; Playing Starhawk early would help you get better faster, adjust to tactics sooner, and unlock skills faster.
Dreamcasts aren't going to be changing any time soon, haha.

Been playing a whole goddamn ton of Animal Crossing: City Folk. I feel guilty that my character is just a tad more productive than I am right now, but if I lived in a town of friendly animals, I would probably be out and about more, too.
I was talking to this Zebra today and she obviously had fleas. Her catchphrase changed into "Itch-eek!" and everything, but I was too scared to hit her with my bug net and the bastard escaped.

Also, I don't know if there's some kind of a ridiculous confessions thread or anything, but playing this totally reminded me that Sable of the Abel Sisters was my first video game crush as a wee sea bass.

Oh yeah, I heard about the no Uprising sequel a few days ago. People I follow on my Tumblr are freaking out about it heh.

While I do agree that Uprising can do well as a stand alone, there's one personal gripe I have with Uprising and would at least like something to help dwell deeper into it.
I suppose it's mainly because i'm a roleplayer herp I roleplay Magnus and Palutena on Tumblr heh but some of the characters seemed quite.. underdeveloped. Especially with Magnus and Gaol.
I don't know. I'd just really like to see more about them explained somewhere. More about their personalities, past, families, etc. I mean for people who seemed to play somewhat important roles, they didn't seem to go under a whole lot of development.
I guess that's just me though. I will miss the jokes and puns heh.

Anyway, i've been finding out a lot about Fire Emblem: Kakusei. Not a whole lot about the story, but quite a bit on certain characters and DLC's!
Oh! Anyone else hear about all the Downloadable Characters available so far?
If not, allow me to show you their glorious new looks.
Spoiler! :
First there's Marth.

Then Leaf.

Hoh. What a coincidence, I've been playing the heck out of City Folk as well. We should exchange friend codes, since playing in a single village is booooring.

As for this whole Kid Icarus shenanigans, I'm kinda with TerminalMontage here. Not only did Masahiro Sakurai say there wouldn't be a Smash Bros 4, but (in the same interview), he refused to reveal the names of any characters he wanted to add but couldn't. If you ask me, he was expecting to make another Smash Bros, but didn't want to raise any hopes or anything, in case he couldn't.

Besides this, though, there are two big reasons I believe there should (and probably will be) a sequel to Uprising.

First reason, there were several questions left unanswered, several plot points left open, it almost seems like the game was setting up for sequels with many of them. For example:
Spoiler! :
That little mystery girl at the beginning of the Chaos Ring chapter. I have a feeling there's more of a story to her. Maybe she was a goddess in disguise? She seemingly came out of nowhere, didn't have anybody with her, didn't seem at all preoccupied with the city being attacked, and disappeared as soon as she dropped the ring. Plus, why wasn't Pit able to talk to her? He was able to talk to Magnus, and not being able to talk to the dog was understandable, since it was a dog and all.

Then there's Pyrrhon and the Aurums. They said the Aurums were shot to the other side of the galaxy, but it was never really made clear whether or not Pyrrhon himself was killed. Being that even Hades saw him as a threat when teamed up with the Aurums, I'm sure Pyrrhon would be very powerful if he was left alive.

The Chaos Vortex wasn't destroyed either, if I remember correctly. Both the Aurums and the Chaos Vortex could very much have the potential to cause a massive amount of trouble, if given the chance. Both threats were just about as large as Hades was, but neither was completely destroyed.

Second reason, I don't really buy his explanation as to why there won't be a sequel. There's oodles of potential for the series, both story-wise and gameplay-wise. I'm confident that he'd be able to bring all sorts of new things to the table to keep the experience fresh. He's one of the best and most creative game designers out there, it's crazy to think he wouldn't be able to.
