All of the PM's should be sent out by Saturday, December 8th. If you haven't gotten it by then (allowing Santa a little leeway for jetlag), post here and we'll make sure it gets re-sent.

Where do I send my gift?

You will be given an email address along with the name of the person you are making a gift for. Be patient! The Head Elves then deliver the gifts by uploading them to the Secret Santa site.

What's the deadline again?

All gifts should be emailed to Santa by December 24th. Gifts will begin going up on the site on December 25th.

Is working with sprites a problem?

We'll stick with what's been said in the past: "As for sprites, you have to put in a LOT of effort. Just saying "Oh I'm a spriter, there's only so much I can do" isn't enough. Create original sprites, I don't know, but do SOMETHING to show that you've put effort into making it something they will like. And don't forget to make it personal to them. The head elves are trusting spriters to put effort into what they do, and not to pull that re-colour BS so many of them put in their comics. If you can't make sprites with effort, draw with effort."

Does the gift have to be Christmas themed?

Ho ho ho no! Just make sure that the gift is personal and you put effort into it. Showing some holiday spirit is always a plus, though. Santa loves holiday spirit!

Does my gift have to be G rated? What if I don't want to receive a mature gift?

Everyone should have noted when they signed up if they wanted to be sure they received a "nice" gift. If you changed your mind, send Smack Santa a PM so we can let your gifter know! "Naughty" gifts will go on a special site.

Uh... first time joining this so I have a few questions:

1. Will the people receiving our presents be able to request something the want in particular? Like which character they prefer us to draw or something?
2. Once we finish drawing our gifts, is it ok to upload it in Deviant Art and/or our personal websites before Christmas (the deadline)?
3. You guys do know how amazing you are for putting together this massive Secret Santa, don't you? ♪(┌・。・)┌

I think you can. With my first secret Sanata I had no comic ( Except large collaborations with 300+ comics with like 10 my own) or sketchbook thread to refer to and my DA was extremely old, so I was encouraged to put a little hint for my secret santa on my profile to make it easier for them. (Example: Dear secret santa I really like final fantasy X) obvioulsy you shouldn't be rudely demanding, and a good part of this event is doing some digging and coming up with something awesome and surprising, but it might be appricated if your secret santa doesn't have much (or anything with my previous case) to go on .

(I'm not sure if these questions are open for everyone to answer or just Santa and the elves, sorry....)

No problem at all, phoenixgem! That summed it up pretty well. Saying, "I want my two main characters having a romantic picnic in a blizzard," sort of ruins the idea of getting a surprise gift. And maybe your Secret Santa is more inspired by a side character, and will make a gift twice as awesome just because they're coming up with the idea of something they really want to draw. But if you don't have many/any comic pages, it's a good idea to link to other galleries or comment on the sort of things you like in your Smack Jeeves profile.

As for posting the gift you drew elsewhere--it could also ruin the surprise. Best bet would be to wait until after it's gone up on the site. (Usually, we wait until all of the gifts are done, then tell you it's okay to reveal whose gift you drew!)

You can always use dA Stash or iaza to upload and share an image without posting it publicly!

It'll be a lot easier for the elves to keep everything organized if all of the gifts are sent through email. If you don't have your own email account, maybe you can ask a friend or family member if you can send it through theirs? If you absolutely can't, for whatever reason, then of course you may get it to us however you're able. Any image upload site, such as Photobucket or Imgur, would also work.

It's very quick and easy to set up a Gmail account through google. Even if you only use it for that it costs you nothing and you've always got a spare email address on hand. Sign up only takes a couple of minutes. As long as you're over... 13 I think it is, you should be ok to sign up for a gmail account or any other free email account really.

Thanks! It's just that I have 3 webcomics on SmackJeeves... 1 ongoing, 2 completed, so I was wondering if I should make it easier for my Santa. You guys do have a point though... I'll give it some thought as to whether or not I'll leave a hint~ (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) ♫･*:.｡. .｡.:*･
