Smack Jeeves Mobile is now available to everyone!

What is Smack Jeeves Mobile?
Smack Jeeves Mobile is a gradual transition to making Smack Jeeves easy to use on a smartphone, starting with reading comics. We think we've really improved the reading experience on smartphones, and we suggest you give it a try.

Compatibility
A lot of the technology we're using in Smack Jeeves Mobile is cutting-edge, therefore it doesn't work on all existing smartphones and browsers. However, we are pleased to announce it works well on both the iPhone and the Android's native browsers (Mobile Safari and Google's version of Webkit, generally titled "Browser", respectively).

Getting Started
To enable Smack Jeeves Mobile for your webcomic, take the following steps:

1) Go to Smack Jeeves Mobile from webcomic management. You must have the Edit Comics permission to access this.
2) Define your comics panels. The comic reader needs to know where the comic's panels are in order to present the reader with the optimal reading experience.
3) Set your comic's reading orientation in Mobile Settings. Generally this is going to be Left-to-Right, but we also added the option for Right-to-Left.
4) Enable Smack Jeeves Mobile, also on the Mobile Settings page.

That's it! Now, whenever someone visits one of your comic's pages using a smartphone, they will get to experience the comic using the Smack Jeeves Mobile Comics Reader.

I noticed that when I used my iPod to make a comment on a page, the comment tab didn't open up in a new page, it stayed on the same page. Then, when I tried to back my way up to the original page, it wouldn't let me. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or not, I just thought I'd point that out.

I was also curious if there is a way to warp the "upload comic to Smack Jeeves" button so that you could upload stuff from your iPod directly to Smack Jeeves.

Oo. Is turf ever gonna be a way to automate panel creation? I think at the least you should be able t apply all, if you're doing consistent strips or something.

We're looking into that. It's not the most simple procedure, but I have a friend who's investigating the feasibility of automatically detecting panels.

It is recommended, so you can test it after you set it up.

It's not an app, but yeah, on pages with no panels.

I've already tested this out with my iPad. It's great! I hope people start using this so I can start using my iPad for something other than games... XD

Yes. iOS and ICS (Android 4) users can use pinch/zoom, and everyone can use double-tap to zoom.

Oh boy. Not bad, respectfully, but I have a suggestion. When on a non-comic comic (a sprite showcase in my case) and the authors have it to the mobile version, it's really annoying not being able to properly view the sheets. Can you make the mobile deactivatable?
