Of course! Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. You gotta roll with the punches.

In fact, my most recent girlfriend, what ended up happening was she lived down the hall from me in our college dorm (it was a school in the city so our dorms were an apartment building). I had been introduced to her because she was roommates with my roommate's girlfriend (say that ten times fast), and she wanted to borrow my copy of Wind Waker. Eventually I would chat her up on Facebook and we got to hanging out... I usually used a bag of pizza-flavored Goldfish crackers as an enticing reason for her to invite me over.

One night we hung out a little late and I asked if I could just sleep over. She said "sure" and I told her I liked her as we laid together in bed. She sort of didn't respond to that but in the wee hours of the morning after I'd dosed off, she leaned in and kissed me. And we ended up dating for a good chunk of last year.

That's more or less my story and it proves that you gotta just go for it and not be scared. If it works out, great! If not, get up and try again when the next one comes around.
