Yeah, definitely! I mean, every year I still would get nervous around the time of going back to school, but that was just because I get nervous about everything, like I'm the kind of person who couldn't fall asleep one night because I had to drive someone to the airport the next morning ._.

Going away to school is so damn cool and it's a lot of fun (providing you have good people to spend time with, which I hope you will). The freedom is a little scary at first but I guess it's like riding a horse, you get the hang of it, and figure out what your priorities are, what people and things are worth your time, and that sort of thing.

I'm having the opposite feeling now, as all my younger friends are getting ready to go back to school, and my pals my age are going on to Even HIGHer Education, and I'm the one who's staying home. Goddamn, I really miss going to the library cafe and grabbing a cuppa with some friends :( I grew up in this damn town and it's like everybody acts like they don't know me.

I was so looking forward to coming home and *transitioning into adulthood,* but now I'm here and it's way lonelier than anticipated.

*sniff, sob* Have fun at college Cannetella *sniff*

Luckily for me the boredom hasn't set in yet... but it will come. I've been placating myself with the internet, organizing my room, watching old people shows, and of course drawing, but one day, man... one day I'm gonna wake up furiously and ragefully bored. Any. day now.

I'm bloody sick (like, lay in bed and drink hot tea sick, the latter I do normally) and I don't have many art tools, mostly a mouse and a DS with Colors! on it. I prefer digital to hand as I don't need to ink digitally, I enjoy thicker and darker lines, and I don't have anything more than a pencil.

At least me writing music is keeping me calm-ish.

I kind of really hate this guy now.

Doesn't respond to my e-mails for weeks and then months.

Then he sudden pops up again and acts like nothing happened.

I just.

I don't even.

He owes me $300 and I don't even care anymore. I really don't.

It's at the point where I would even be happy for him to keep the money so long as I never have to work with him again. I can't believe I'm saying this about a company I used to think was cool too.

I was JUST pulling out of the parking lot at the convention that I went to when my transmission locked up in reverse and refused to move. I had to call my grandparents, who don't like driving at night and should be in bed by that time, to come pick me up. On top of that, we had to leave the car there because we couldn't get it to work, and now we're presumably going to have to spend money on towing and fixing the locked transmission, assuming that it's not something that can be done in the parking lot.

STUPID CAR. At least some kind con-goers helped me push it into a parking spot. My grandmother said: "The car is automatic, so pushing it was a bad idea. That's what probably locked up the car." Uh, no: the car was locked up before we pushed it. That's why we had to push it sifoiodfldsifbfgfsb

Then the battery died as we were trying to get it moving, and they said: "Oh, that's the reason why it locked up! You were running the AC at full power and it drained the battery!" Okay, A.) I'm pretty sure you can't lock the gears that way, B.) I spent the majority of time waiting for them to pick me up with the car off and the door open in the hot sweaty humid Florida heat, so no one is allowed to say that I drained the battery that way, and C.) the battery died AFTER the transmission locked up. AUGHHHHH

I am really grateful that they came to pick me up, and also sorry that they had to go out of their way to do it, but man it is not my fault that car is old and crazy.

I'm about to punch somebody, really, really hard.

We're facing our punishment for last weekend's bunch of jackasses, and today, we got to walk around the squadron and pick up trash for an hour and a half, in addition to our accountability session at 6 Am, 1 Pm, and 6 Pm. Well, we're almost done and the NCO's (non-commissioned officers) are walking the building to make sure we got everything, under punishment of doing it for the rest of the day, while the rest of us waited on the drill pad. While we were waiting, a couple of Navy Seabee girls were walking by in their civilian clothes; in tank tops, short shorts and cowboy boots, and some the the jackasses can't help themselves. They start catcalling these girls, and before anybody can tell them to shut up a staff sergeant heard them and told the master sergeant. An hour later, as punishment, all of us had to stand outside on the drill pad for a half-hour listening to the first sergeant lecturing us on sexual harassment, all because those motherfuckers can't keep their mouth shut.

Next person who gets the rest of us in trouble is gonna get punched in the mouth. I'll gladly take a Letter of Reprimand for it, too. I'm sick of my privileges and my time being taken away because other motherfuckers are being retarded. It doesn't matter that 99% of us keep our noses clean, it's that one percent that fucks up everything for the rest of us.

Soooo yeah, my big sister's first time dealing with robbery.

She went to a park to film a student council video, right? She and other female members left their purses in her car. So a robber was trying to break into the car, and my friend's big brother tackled the guy (he won a wrestling tournament and is big and beefy). So now my dad went off to help out with the them to clear up the stuff for the cops. I'm hoping that dad doesn't throw a fatherly fit, that friend's big brother is not guilty, a window wasn't broken (my sis's car had a visit to the shop earlier this week), and that the robber goes to jail.

I also hope they won't end up on the evening news. But you know...

I want to live where you live, where an attempted robbery is somehow TV-worthy.

All joking aside, I also hope it turns out okay! How's your sister doing? I'd imagine something like that would shake most people up D:

Yeah, good ol' St. Louis...
My mom said attempted robbery only gets on the news if it's a slow news day. XD
No word now, but I sure do hope she doesn't come home crying. D: She's a going-on Senior in high school, so I dunno.
*EDIT
Dad's home. Mom told me she and Dad are going to go back to pick my sis up, because she's too upset to drive home. D: Still no word on who's getting punished...
