Your BEST Comic Page?

Postby mosama » July 19th, 2012, 8:57 am

What is your personal favorite/best comic page you've ever made? Post it in this thread. It could be best in terms of art, writing, or whatever else you see fit.

That's an interesting question. Made me go through my whole comic--I suppose my favourites from Penny Thoughts actually tend to be my simpler, wordless designs.

Generally it's my latest page, I have som scripted ones that I think will turn out better than whatever I have right now.

I looked through my comic though, and have to say I sort of like this one a lot:

I usually get lazy with backgrounds, but with this one I actually bothered to put shit back there in most panels, even though a lot of the details were sort of lost in the inking process.
I also like my more recent pages with all the black backgrounds, it just looks really nice to me.

It's actually Fröken Keke, there's a difference.

I like the last two pages I've colored, but really I like most of the pages in this scene in general. >_>; Which I'm still coloring now.

Hur hur you can tell I liked that last panel since I put it in the banner xD

But I'm pretty sure there some of the pages I'm sketching now of the next chapter will eventually be my new best, although I'm still waiting to get to my favorite scenes. >_<

@FezBaker The fighting crowd looks like it was fun to draw :D Good job with how it came out!

The latest page in The Infinity Project. I tend to like my cover pages more, but they can't really count as my 'best comic page' (to me at least) since I intentionally spend a lot more time on covers.

Cause....I'm not sure xD
I guess it's cause I remember putting lots of effort into pages when I first started drawing wallisaur, then I got a bit lazier ff

Hmm... There’s seven pages I think I did pretty good on for my Bleach fancomic... (so far)

(why I like those seven pages)
Spoiler! :
  • I like how I’d made the first three panels in p17 to show how time passed and what time it is now, like dramatic snapshots around town, and I drew the characters a little better after watching one of the movies.
  • I like how I drew Ichigo’s close-up, and the bottom two panels in page 22.
  • I like p28, how I changed camera angles several times to help show Rukia’s changing mood (and need for action), and I think I did okay with her reactions and the dialogue between her and Renji in the girl’s bathroom.
  • For p40, I like how I drew Rukia in the first panel, and I think the wide shot of the room from above worked well to show an empty feeling. (...though, it may not be as good as the others I like, as that doesn’t sound like much)
  • For p43, I think I did okay on their faces, and I think the way I shaded the imagined part with my finger instead of a pencil (and highlighted with the eraser) worked out really well. And it's the page that explains the mechanics of what's going on, so it's nice I illustrated it well.
  • I think p52 turned out really well with the help of some people on the forum (and maybe some elsewhere), as well as because of how many times I’d adjusted the first panel before I felt it looked good enough. And it's an action page.
  • And I think p54 turned out pretty well. The bg in the first two panels looks okay, a flushed Rukia is cute, and I referenced my arm with the help of a mirror to get the three divining/tracking panels to look nice (and I think the idea I had for those panels may have worked somewhat). Though, I don’t think I drew Orihime very well in most of the panels.

I guess the two of them I'd most want to show people would be p52 and p54, because 52 has some action (that doesn't look stupid), and 54 has an okay background in the first two panels.

This one was fun... I like doing big panels. I don't often though, since its webcomic format and I like to fit in as much story as I can.

I guess for more recent I was pretty pleased with this one. Since I'd known it was coming for some time and was pretty apprehensive about getting it right.

i should be ashamed that my favorite page is so old...but it was just this rare moment that I felt like i really achieved what I wanted when building up to the page. It brings me back to my apartment in Ridgewood every time.

It's legitimately impossible for me to choose just one. Especially since a lot of my favorite scenes so far are old and poorly drawn and not yet remade.
I guess off the top of my head the latest two would be some of my faves. They go together too well for me to choose one of the two;

Sorry for not being able to come up with just one but it's too hard for me to do, haha.

Spoiler! :
I also really love The L-7071 Crisis 11 and 12 simply because I love showing off how effortlessly Arahnx can shrug off the other characters' base powers.
