Boom. I'm back, baby.

Does anyone want to add concept art for the island? Because I'm not that confident in my drawing skills, and I want to see what y'all have to offer and stuff.

I think what we should do is come up with a bunch of ideas for characterization, development, and all around general ideas, then talk about them in the Skype meetings, so we can see what people think we should keep, or not keep. I say this because all the ideas are splattered around the docs, forums, IMs, and various bathroom stalls. If no one is discussing an idea on the docs, it's hard to tell whether we as a group think it should be there or not. Or do we just need to be more organized and responsive? Or is it just me and we don't need to change anything?

I've come up with some stuff for most of the characters (sans MORF and knifegirl), with a bit of help from bouncing ideas off shoppeh to shape things out a bit better.

I should probably write it all up into a nice readable format.

People, I AM BACK!! Sort off.. Didn't have internet for a little while. It still is a bit messed up though.

I don't think an anime is unrealistic at all with about a group of 10-20 amateur artists. We could make a pretty ok anime. The biggest hurdle is the story. To be honest, stories should come from 1 or 2 people at most to keep it consistent. The rest of the people would work on drawing and animating a different part of an episode. The only unrealistic part is getting 10-20 committed people to always make deadlines and work together (that is the harder part). But the actual creation wouldn't be too hard. If you watch a yugioh episode for instance, most of the characters are completely static and take turns talking and being animated, which is usually only the mouths and certain body parts at most. There would also be a lot of stock animation and of course. Anyways the point is, I think it can be done just like a lot of us could get together and publish a monthly american manga magazine with different stories in it ;D. Or maybe I dream too much.

Have to agree with ya about having only a few writers. We have three or four regular writers with a little input from the character designers. I think we tiptoe over each other a bit because we don't want to misinterpret each other's characters, which is slowing us down. Buuut we *are* surviving!

What do we have, six animators so far? (Where has Horsedeer/N.G. been?) If you'd like to join the ranks, we would totally welcome you. I don't know if you'd like to attend our little Skype meeting tomorrow at 3? You can add me (Shoprocks, predictably). Rouche, I sent you a PM saying this but you're also invited~

Before we go out of our way to get new animators, I'm curious to see what this little group can do. Maybe we'll blink and this thing will be unimaginably huge. But I'm fine with it as it is, small and cozy. Doesn't mean we don't dream big though, trust me on that one!

That's good for me. By the way I feel bad for not being very active lately. I'll start contributing more soon I promise, It's just It's taking me longer then I hoped to get something together worth showing that's longer then 3 seconds. But I'll just have to get faster I guess.
