Shoprocks, would you be a writer? Or at least involved with that? Because you have good ideas.

(Or would a better mascot be a yaoi couple, OHHHHHH.)

Along with the recolored sonic sprites :P

Well, good luck then. I can tell flash that is a good program for animating, but I can't draw =\

Also, Mokepon rocks. I would totally storyboard that if I could.

Speaking of which, are the writers going to be storyboarders too? Or is that up to the animators?

Since we're a volunteer group, it's my guess that anyone can contribute a storyboard if they want to. It might not be what's eventually used, but it can help in the decision making process.
If this was a production, generally animators/concept artists take on the storyboarding.
If you've got a lot of great visual ideas, you should put them out. Since no one has presented a storyboard yet, it's very possible we'll use it, or at least elements of it.

Keep in mind storyboards are about laying out the scene, not rendering tightly, so the important thing is clarity, not how well you rendered out the image.

Also, the storyboard should probably match the ratio of the final video file, so if we chose something like HD 1080x720, then the storyboard sizes should be at a 3:2 ratio.

This took me 2 hours to figure out, because I'm just that brilliant.

That's worth my mentioning on the help thread, because passwords usually aren't case-sensitive :/ sorry bout that

How could I forget the sprites? xD

Thanks for your wishes. You're always welcome to try. Maybe we'll start a "crappy animators league" for the less experienced :p

Yep yep. I think we should
1. Discuss the script first before going to the trouble of making storyboards only to have to redo them later (although if you really want to do a storyboard for some reason, go ahead)
2. Then make storyboards. This is...whoever feels like it. The people who will be doing the proper animation will probably want to do this because they generally have a vision, but this ain't a requirement.
3. I (or someone else) combines them, puts them to music, and we keep on making comments and changing it until we're happy.

I'm thinkin' it's about time we had a Skype party. Mostly the writers and characterpeople, but all kinds are welcome. There will be virtual snacks and perhaps a DJ.

I'm in school/getting ready for school 6am->3pm EST, and I'd like to get to bed before, eh, 11pm on weeknights but honestly I'm flexible. Takers for a PARTAY? (Where we get work done and talk about basic plot etc)

I think we should do this on a Saturday, EST. I normally wake up about 1 (EST), but it's no trouble for me to wake up earlier. And usually I have nothing to do all day, so.

Also, whenever I get a Skype name, I'll post it here.

Saturday works for me. I'm going to need to make a Skype account, though. I can't say 100% I'll be able to make it, though, since it's in the middle of the day, and I have a terrible memory.

Edit: I love parties :')

Le skype name:

Pwiiblondemo

Remember, emo's are only happy enough for one 'E'. Also, I have no idea how to Skype. What we want is Skype-to-Skype, right? The conference call?

Fabulous, fabulous. If you can't make it, speak or forever hold your peace, as we will be deciding things. If someone comes up with something better after the fact, we'll change it of course, but if you don't show up to the polls you don't exactly get a vote ;)

I cannot guarantee I will make it since I have the attention span of a goldfish, but I will try my best.

Since this is going to be the first time Skyping for about half of us, I think it would be a good idea for everyone to be online in Smackjeeves forums too, so we can communicate outside of Skype.
