Well... I usually draw anthropomorphic characters. Somewhat cartoon-y with an anime influence.


That's my latest default style.

So, I'm one of those people that didn't start out with realism or drawing human in general so it's hard for me now that I'm trying to branch out. Here's some attempts after a few sessions of drawing humans:

This is my latest attempt at some traditional art using colored pencils and pens. The theme was 'beach day'. I scrapped it because the paper I used couldn't handle layers of pencils, and the pens bled too easily.



You should never use a cheap scanner to digitalize colored pencil work. That said, anyone can suggest a good brand of paper for using pencils on?

This is from a stream I started. It's not done yet of course, and now 'm thinking of redoing the bookcase.

Sexy and cute. I don't particularly like the perspective in the backgrounds of the first pictures. Somehow it doesn't fit the characters. The characters are brilliant though, I would say especially the humans. They are very expressive and all seem to have a personality of their own. Somehow the backgrounds take the attention away from just that. To my taste, the backgrounds are too bright and too busy.

It is perfect though if you are making comics for children, you can never make your design too intense for kids. If I were an editor of a magazine for kids up till 12 years old, I'd hire you immediately.

Your anthro characters look really cute! They look very different from the anthros I see usually.

Thanks, I'm glad you like them. I've been working on varying body shapes, while still maintaining the cute aspect.

I sketched some more characters. Sometimes, the most ridiculous costumes are the best.


The only female so far in the sketches. Friends call her Dessy.

I based the heights of the later characters from the first ones, so putting the sketches side by side makes a good height comparison. This makes Luke the shortest character right now.
